Violent scenes
Witnessing a scary scene either live or in a movie can mess with your mind, resulting in bad dreams. Violent scenes can linger in the mind for long, making you struggle with falling asleep. So for a peaceful night’s rest be sure to watch something less scary.
Bright lights

According to sleep expert and author of Sleep Smarter, Shawn Stevenson, the illumination from outdoor lighting directly reduces your chances of having a good night’s sleep. He advices that two hours before you sleep, you should try avoid bright lights as much as you can. This includes all the lighting from your smart devices.
Caffeine

Stress
While stress should be avoided at all times, it’s effects are worse on the quality of your sleep. Stressing at night will only bombard your mind with worries and thoughts that will overtake your mind and deprive you of your much needed sleep. To avoid this, try doing breathing exercises before going to bed and take up yoga and meditation as these can help in shutting down your mind and relaxing.
